Do you know what was the NZ-serial Nr. for PA-P, here at Nantambu,1945?
I don't read it in your data list, David.
natlib.govt.nz

I have only just noticed the question that was aimed in my direction so apologies for the delayed reply. Sadly, I do not have a serial tie up for 'PA-P'. What a pity that in your photo the serial cannot be deciphered. Can anyone enhance the image? The book The Golden Age of New Zealand Flying Boats by Harrison/Lockstone/Anderson does not list PA-P as far as I can see.

Further to my message above, my good friend J.Christophe-Polet has provided photographic evidence that there was a RNZAF Catalina with the hull code 'PA-R' but, like 'PA-P', this is unidentified at the present time., Can any forum member provide serial tie-ups for these two Catalinas?

Not to be offensive, nor captious, Peter, but...
Loocking at the pictures of ZK-AMI, in the morning, I realized that some of them are mirrored.
Just check the under-wing code here.

No legible code or war-time/no code under-wing.

Yes you are quite right.
Comes with the brain wandering when I do photo restoration after midnight.

Has now been corrected.

That is a fantastic job on that (and all the other) pics. How do you do it?

Cheers,

Basic tutorial now posted at the 'How To Up-Load Photographs To This Forum.' section.
Seems to me to be the best place for it, but Bryan can move it he thinks of a better place.

Through the assistance of Keith Morris I have now been able to get two photos of NZ4055 taken at Whangateau when it was en-route to Sellars property at Wellsford in 1958.
Held by Steve Gwilliam, these photos are likely to have come from the Eric Coyle collection.
