Hello!

This sub-forum is for the dedicated card modellers: those that build scale models entirely from kits manufactured from printed sheets of cardboard - which are then cut out with knives and scissors and glued together. The results can be spectacular.

Hello!

Hello all!
Thank you Bryan for creating this sub-forum, and I hope I'm not the only one cardboard modeller in this forum.
My name is Krzysztof (Christoph) but friends call me Krzychu or Krzysiek. I live in Klodzko city in Poland. I`m 36.
My hobby is gluing and designing of paper models. In my short career of the designer I designed one flyingboat
PZL-12:
http://mikromodele.cba.pl/pzl_12.htm
and floatplane Yokosho I-go:
http://mikromodele.cba.pl/yokosho_i_go.htm
and Kawanishi E8K:
Here in 1:50
http://ecardmodels.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1367
Here I glue this model from several months in 1:100 (WIP):
http://www.mikromodele.fora.pl/wojskowe ... ,2091.html
In the future I`d like finish my project of Kawanishi H8K2 (Emily) and I`d like to make Kawanishi H6K Mavis, Aichi H9A, Supermarine Sea Otter, Saro Lerwick, Fairey Seafox, Hover MF-11 and MF-12 and several other floatplanes and flying boats.
Now I design russian amphibious Beriev Be-200 Altair in 1:50:

I hope I can finish it, although many work ahead of me.
I hope to meet and make friends with many people here who also are interested in flying boats.

Best regards.

Hello!
Thank you TASSE. :)
Unfortunately, I found only one photo of PZL-12 before crash:

and one plane (I based on this when I was designed model):

Hey Krzysztof, those crash poictures look very much like my last effort at card modeling...!

You must tell us all how it is done so well on your website. :D

I love the Beriev and think that will make a really nice subject but I would want to know what I am doing before I jump in and have a go at it.

(Mind you, that would be a nice plastic model kit in 1/72, as would the A-40....Oh, dream on!)

Cheers,
Best Regards,

Thank you Krzysztof for the photos and particularly for the 3 view.

Of the hundreds of flyingboats that i know of, someone comes up with one that i have not heard of - thanks.

What are the prices for your kits ?

Cheers Roy (TASSE).

Hello!
seawings: don`t worry. Practice makes perfect. I think your next card model will be better. :)
When I have a little more time I will have to do a little "repair" on my webside because it has not been updated from long time.
Beriev as I wrote will be in 1:50. I plane that model will be have:
cockpit:

interior (sorry, on renders still without equipment inside):

Mobile horizontal and vertical rudders and ailerons:

When project 3d will be ready I`ll start with new topic and I`ll show you photos with test model.
Beriev A-40... very interesting aircraft but with good drawings is problem.

TASSE: my pleasure. I`m glad I could help you. :)
PZL-12 and Yokosho I-go are free. You can download them at any time.
Kawanishi is for 4$ here. But please, I`m here not for advertising. I like flying boats and floadplanes and before my registration I found here many interesting things and informations for documention for my models in the future: Lerwick, Sea Otter, Be-200... and other.

Best regards.
