Short Empire R/C Build - 1:16.5 scale

This is the place to discuss and ultimately show-off all aspects of constructing and actually flying your radio-control flying boat models. Pictures of construction, materials used, finishing and action shots of them flying, are very welcome.

Short Empire R/C Build - 1:16.5 scale

Postby seawings » Tue Nov 20, 2012 5:22 pm

Hi All,

Bart83 had very kindly sent me the link to his build of a Short Empire 'C' Class flying boat.

Wow, I thought; well worth a look and a follow.

Here's the link: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1719075

I would love to see this fly!

Many thanks, Bart83

Enjoy!

Beautifully done Bart, it almost looks like the real thing.
One minor nit though, while handsome, the size of your photos may cause some with smaller monitors to have a problem seeing them.
I usually re-size photos to about 800 pixels wide, that seems to be about the best.
Another option would be to provide a link to the full size versions or do both.
At any rate your model of the Caledonia is fabulous, I wish I had the talent to work in wood instead of plastic.

(For those whose computers are capable of it, right click and select "View Image", the entire photo opens in a new tab or window)
