Postby seawings » Sun Dec 09, 2012 8:20 pm

Hi All, sorry for the delay but I've been experiencing a few computer glitches this past week; I know what it is and I've fixed it now but it prevented me from uploading.

Louis Emond (aka SEAMASTER) has sent me this superb image for you to guess: 'What is it'.........

Ok, off you go with the reference books!

I have slowed down my aging by hanging around this forum with you nutcases!

As for the French Machin-Truc-Chouette 1A, everyone should be aware by now that this sextiplane's configuration was with the main wings located under the waterline, which although requiring 10 V-12 engines in order to achieve take-off speed turned out to be a great platform for fishing in the Hudson Bay.

The mystery plane was built in the "Hexagone".

And be careful of the wrath of my Indian friends as I am a Metis.

No not Latham. it is the France Aviation HY479. built in 1926 it flew a while before being destroyed on the ground in 1927.

it was designed by Francois Denhaut who retired soon after and caused France Aviation to fail, the assets were bought by Morane- Saulnier.
