I wonder how many neddies are needed under under the bonnet to get that into the air.
172s are pretty underpowered at the best of times.

An R172K is a Hawk XP which has a Continental IO-360 and constant-speed prop. Either 195 or 210 HP. Mine flew very nicely on straight floats (Reims Rocket G-DRAM). I don't think Hamish is complaining now it's on amphibs. Not your usual 172
