Hello Roy,

I would be very interested in receiving the drawings!

I have several photos from the Bernard HV-220, which the French Naval air museum in Biscarosse sent me:

I also have the 3-view from Havelaars, but it is too big to upload.

Regards,

Hi Rene,

Those are pages from another Docavia book, Les Avions Bernard. That one is still in print and well worth buying, plenty of photographs and data. It uses a lot of Kavelaar's drawings, including the HV220, but unfortunately they are early ones and not very accurate. Here is my version.

Yes, I bought a couple of your drawings a few years ago. I am currently working to produce 1:48 scale drawings of every Schneider entrant, potential entrant, projects and concepts. Over 50 done so far and perhaps another 30 to go. Locating original, and reliable, company blueprints and general arrangement drawings is a challenge, as you will know, but so far so good. Google, eBay and ever increasing access to archives is invaluable, at a cost in £ though.

Cheers

Good day Schneiderman.
As you might notice from my post to the r/c section, I am contemplating a r/c model of the Sea Lion III. Do you have detailed drawings for this aircraft - detailed enough that I could make a pretty acceptable scale model?

Kind regards,
Robin

Hi Robin,

Yes indeed, I have a full set of drawings based on original Supermarine blueprints and GA drawings. Now, the thing is I have just concluded a deal with a publisher for a book that will include my 3-view drawings of every Schneider aircraft and project so under the terms of the contract I really cannot send you anything that will be in the book. The intention, I believe, is for the book to be published in November. Once it is out, and you have bought a copy ;) , I can send you extra material. How does that sound?

Cheers

Can anyone help with some Hi-Resolution photographs of the Rolls Royce R engine currently at the RAF Museum? I require clear images of the top of the engine plus the supercharger.
I want to build a large scale model of the engine complete with wiring etc. Any help would be most appreciated. :D :D

Hello Schneiderman,
my dear wife just bought me a copy of your excellent book.
I treat it with kid gloves!
It is quite simply Aeroporn of the first water.
Thanks for writing such a magnificent tome and finally giving us drawings. A model maker's wet dream if ever there was one.

I have already copied the MC72 and S5 drawings for enlarging to 1/48th scale for proposed models.

Cheers,
Martin
