The Fairey IIID was developed from the Fairey Campania via the IIIA, IIIB & the IIIc and was the most important aircraft of the Royal Navy during the 1920s.
Some years back i was in Lisbon and wandered into the Geronimo Museum and was confronted by the IIID which attempted the Atlantic crossing. This aircraft had longer wings and modified cockpits.
Museum model. Note cockpits and luggage compartment.
