Survey flight of G-ADUT 'Centaurus' to Aust. & NZ 1937

Postby Aotearoa » Fri Nov 13, 2020 6:46 am

I'm looking for a file number AVIA 2/1984 from the National Archives at Kew which is entitled:
'Aerial Survey and Photography (code:3/1) South Pacific - long distance civil survey by flying boat Centaurus'
As the National Archives are back in lockdown. it could take months before I can get a copy sent out to me in Australia.
If anybody has a copy of this file that they'd be willing to share with me for research for my book, I'd be really grateful
to hear from them - please!
If you can help, please message me through this website.
Many thanks in anticipation!

Hi Paul,

When Lockdown 2.0 or whenever we can actually 'live' again, drop me an email or a message on FB about this or anything else you need and I will contact them, see what's what, get some info, make an appointment and go there for the day and see what I can find out for you.

Bit easier for me than you I think..!

Be pleased to help you in some way for your new book; you do enough on FB for all of us, matey..!

Let me know and I'll start planning..!

Stay safe down there all of you,
Best Regards,

There's a FB page? Is it The Flying Boat or SEAWINGS?

Are these connected to Bryan, SEAWINGS and this forum, or just FB pages about those particular aircraft?

Bryan is a member of both groups, but they are independent of him.

Both groups contain a lot of amazing photographs and are well-worth joining.

Thanks so much for your kind offer Bryan. I’ll be in touch once the UK opens up again.
Cheers
