The first product by Grumman was an amphibious float seen here fitted to a Vought O2U-4 Corsair.
(Bet you did'nt know a Corsair looked like that).Image

And here is Vought O3U-1 Corsair fitted with a Brewster float. Note the arrester hook.Image

Various Westland Wapiti's were fitted with floats such as this one photographed at Calshot. The Royal Australian Airforce also had some.Image

A photo of an Avro 504'O on wooden floats. Note the wing-nut attachments.

The 504'O was a float version of the 504'N with an extended fin.

The retractable undercariage on the Short Gurnard II (N229). Compare this with the Grumman float of the same period.
