Regrettably, I have had to pull out of this trip due to pressure of work but the Catalina will still be there so have a good time all those who are going.

Hi David,

sorry to see you can't make it, I was looking forward to treating you to a pint of the dark stuff. At least the magnificent beast will be there for us to admire. It looks like we'll be arriving late on the Friday so may not even have a chance to shoot anything until the Saturday morning and here's praying for fine weather.

I'll be at Duxford from Tuesday 26th Sept to Friday the 30th, for the rotary stuff.

Regards

Reggie

Hi Reggie,

Rotary stuff........ Not as good as the Dark stuff....!

Yes, I will be at Helitech at Duxford the Tuesday and Wednesday. Contact me upon your arrival and I'll stand you both lunch. I might not be able to spend much time with you guys on the first day as I have a stand to run and a team to control, but I'll be pleased to see you when you get there. Stand 600, at the front next to Eurocopter. Then, on the passes I got you, you both have full and total access to every part of the show including the full Duxford Museum facilities, foc.

Looking forward to meeting up again!

Ride safely the pair of you, it's a lot of road you have got to cover from one event to the other...... ;)

Cheers,

Hi Bryan,

the round trip is well over a 1000 miles but worth getting the shots of both events!

Looking forward to meeting up and putting the World to right!

Thanks for all your help.

Regards

Reggie

Hi Everyone,

Sorry to hear you can't make it anymore David!
Hope the rest of you are all set for your travels over... everything is coming together now so it's getting pretty exciting!! :)
There is a big surprise to be announced soon before the festival! We will try and post it up here for you as soon as it's announced but it's good! ;)
The weather is very tempermental at the minute so our main advice is to wear appropriate footwear and bring a raincoat... fingers crossed it isnt needed!

Good Luck with your journey over and see you in two days :)

Shauna & Maeve!

Hi Shauna & Maeve,

Bikes ready.

Finish work tomorrow and plan to arrive early Saturday morning.

I'm already excited, so how can it get any better?

Hi Guys n Gals,

well I'm back home after a wonderful Seaplane Festival.

A massive thanks to all of the staff, volunteers, crews and especially to the girls who were brilliant and looked after us all.

Next task is to go through all the images!!!!

Roll on the next show.

Hi Tony,

well the weather was a bit iffy on the Saturday but gave moments of sunshine, so you could time many shot's to be in sunlight!

Here's the girls who worked hard to make the event a great success.

Image

And we'll start off with the float planes.

The lovely Beaver from Norway.

Image

A UK based Cessna.

Image

And a cracking US registered Super Cub.

Image

The Husky from Loch Earn in Scotland.

Image

And Hamish's Cessna, also from Scotland.

Image

Then onto a bit bigger stuff with the Swiss based Twin Bee, which we were later to take a flight in.

Image

Finishing with the stars of the show, not one but two Cat's. The first from Duxford.

Image

And the second, all the way from Paris.

Image

With the pair together.

Image

As for your comments of V cylindered stuff, well no such aircraft arrived, nor were they expected (as far as I know).

Can't wait for the next festival.

Regards

Reggie

So Reggie - do we get your 'take' on the elevator damage to N9767 visible in the last photo?
