GoogleMap of slipways

Any photos, plans, drawings, directions, helpful hints on visting places where flying boats have been operated from historically, or are being operated from today. I am always interested in receiving 'Then & Now' type photographs to assist current day visitors to these place. I'm trying to record the best places to visit before they disappear for ever.

Also RAAF base Rathmines on Lake Macquarie, NSW: -33.038646,151.594933

There is a memorial on the point to the Catalina flying boats once stationed there, featuring a propeller from one.

Only 3 years late. Thank you all for your contributions. I have now added them. I took a guess at the location of MLD Surabaya Morokrembangan. Can anyone confirm the precise location of this?

Here's the location of the MLD base at Moro Krombangan (today, Morokrembangan):

The image comes from the report of the 1936 RAF/IAL/QEA flying boat route survey (the 'Brackley survey') in the CAHS collection. I've coloured in the sea to make it easier to read the chart and highlighted Moro Krombangan in red.

Note that the civil flying boat service used the docks at Tandjong Perak (today Tanjung Perak), just to the east of Moro Krombangan.

Here's the same area today courtesy of Google Maps:

Aeradio Operator John G. 'Johnnie' Walker, Karumba Flying Boat Base, 1938.
