I actually think this kit could be 'the one'......it certainly looks a lot better than the Italeri issue.

dig deep matey, it'll be worth all th effort!

By the way, I took your advise and bought a Badger airbrush, along with a basic BA1000 compressor but I've yet to start to practice my building skill, before I can even consider using them!

My Airfix Beaver stash has come on a treat and has well passed the thirty mark! Quite a few after market decals as well, with more to follow from a mate who now owns the rights to some new civilian schemes.

Hi All,

Update on the Special Hobby Sunderland (MPM are now just Special Hobby)

It looks like SH are doing a one size fits all approach, which technicallywise leads to
some serious issues........

In the attached link and you can see it in the attachment below, they have totally messed
up the area on the upper fuselage where the turret is deleted either for later production
Mk III/V or Post war MR5

The actual area should be be flat and located more to where they have molded the section
where the upper turret sits, and the added escape/emergency hatch is not round but more
a squarish section as in these photos

The other issue is they have molded the rear main hatch with out the pexiglass inserts, obviously expecting to
use the hatch for a Mk I/II/III, but the rear hatch on those marks was taller in size and more rectangular......

We (the modelling world) could have had a technically accurate Sunderland....... But Special Hobby obviously
know better, than those of us who actually know something on the subject......

I doubt I will buy any, all the extra work I will have to put in, might as well stick with the old Airfix kit....
