Teaser thread

Postby N63350JR » Tue Jan 31, 2012 4:51 am

I've been stockpiling a few select kits for several years now, and for no apparent reason I've started building a few lately.

Planning several civilian Widgeons, a few Gooses, Albatrosses and even some PBY's.

My third kit of "Calypso" arrived today.
I plan to build one box stock and have been working on getting some decals made to do a couple different versions.

Stay tuned!

I'll start this off with some of my favorites built (and VERY played with) as a kid.

Revell Albatross clipped (badly) to represent the short wing version and a couple Airfix Widgeons.

More recent (4-5 years ago) started one of the Sword Goose (still not finished).

Decided to break open another Airfix Widgeon and get going on it a month ago or so, currently unfinished.

Pavla Widgeon, Airfix Duck, Revell Albatross and 2 Sword Gooses. All started 2/11/2012. See how long it takes to get them onto the shelf!

Primitive as they may be, I love the old Airfix Widgeon kit.

This is the first one I've built since I was 12 or 13.
Not bad for someone so out of practice.
