Never seen a wing bend like THAT from hitting the water! ;)

Is that a bit of fisheye lens effect in the first photo too where it looks like the left wingtip is bent up just a little bit?

Congrats on getting it back where it belongs!

Iphone camera has a PANO feature, where it gives you a reference line to try and follow while shooting and stitches one wide picture together. When you don't quite follow the line, you get the bent wing in the first one.

Where are all of the seaplanes going? Not so long ago, I read that a STOL UC-1 Twin Bee was exported to Russia (where, I commented, it apparently would be well beyond any kind of technical or parts supports...) and now I just noticed an updated registration record in the FAA database that this Widgeon, an amazingly low-time and "stock" or original "time capsule" example of the type with something like only 800 hours TT on it, has been sold by Dennis Burke and exported to a new owner in, of all places, Belarus! What gives? :?
