1994: Jimmy Buffett crashed his Grumman G-44 Widgeon seaplane on take-off in Nantucket, Massachusetts

He was trying to avoid another vessel and water looped it.
Although it sank it didn't sustain any real major damage and has long since rebuilt and still flying.
It was a McKinnon conversion at the time & registered as N1471N (C/N 1471), now converted to a Magnum Widgeon and flying as N3N (the 2nd).
This is it after the conversion, but prior to the N number change.
