Just a bit in profile, head on his face was quite thin.

Welcome Board Widgeon 1946, glad to have you.
Any new Widgeon owners/pilots/enthusiasts are always welcome here (especially by me).

You must have caught him on a good day.
"Nice" was not a term most in the NW that knew him would ever connect with his name.
Maybe it was because you were writing the check, but to most Lana was a typical grumpy old Norwegian that rarely had a good word for anybody.
Heck of an instructor and a better seaplane pilot than most of his era, but nice ????
I don't know if I'd go that far.

Bill

I have a few more of Lana when I got my multi sea. I was his last student. I was there for two weeks.
Just do not know how to load them

bertsboat did not mention (yet) what he may or may not own and still fly but in the meantime welcome to the forum. I look forward to hearing much more from you!

Widgeon1946 on the other hand already disclosed that he is an actual Widgeon owner - boy, it sure would be nice to hear more from him in addition to his apparently first and only post almost a year and a half ago...
