There was another project to put Garrett turbines on the Albatross by Chalks', but it didn't go beyond the concept stage and some drawings.

That's really great! I personaly like the old HU-16 without the "radar nose". Two of the HU-16's that I posted above are actually for sale right now in the US.
The red/white one with the Albatross on the tail seems the better value. You can view them here:
