It isn't generally known that Supermarine ran a marine department in the closing years of WW1 and for a few years after. They designed and built craft generally of around 25ft length, including one used as a tender for the royal yacht Victoria and Albert II. These two were proposed as seaplane tenders. Schneider may have been versions of the second type.
