Supermarine Marine Department

There are a host of marine craft, both military and civilian, that have been designed or converted to serve the needs of flying boats; tenders, refuellers, cargo craft to name a few. Here is the place to post photo's, plans & drawings, in-fact anything appertaining to these craft.

It isn't generally known that Supermarine ran a marine department in the closing years of WW1 and for a few years after. They designed and built craft generally of around 25ft length, including one used as a tender for the royal yacht Victoria and Albert II. These two were proposed as seaplane tenders. The two company craft Tiddlywinks and Schneider may have been versions of the second type.
