New ABH books on Grumman seaplanes

A while back, I heard a rumor about Air Britain Historians working to publish a couple of new books about Grumman seaplanes. It was supposed to be a set - the first book about the Goose, Widgeon, and Mallard, and the second dedicated exclusively to the Albatross. I still can't find any news or word online that they ever got published. Does anyone know anything more about them?

Bill, we end up spending most of our time here on this forum just talking to each other. Sometimes makes me wonder why we bother "sharing" with everyone else when we could almost just lay some string between two cans - one here in NC and the other up there in ID - for all the good it does us! ;)

Well, others are watching from a distance too, y'know! Mind you, I haven't anything constructive to add between two experts, so I read and learn........! :)

And NOW some 16 months later, I can tell you that I finally received my copy of Fred Knight's new book...

"The Grumman Amphibians - Goose, Widgeon, & Mallard"

and about all I can say is...

WOW!!!!

It's gorgeous and so absolutely slam-packed with data and details - beyond my wildest imagination!!!

Thanks Fred (and Colin) :D :D :D :D :D

It looks to me as if all you other Grumman fans can just throw away your old copies of
Mitch Mayborn's Grumman Guidebook
or
Steve Ginter's Naval Fighters 63 Grumman Goose
'cuz they be obsolete now!

It was $80.00 USD a few weeks ago when I checked on it, I forget what the UK cost was.
