Sunderland Wireless Operator's position

Information requests on flying boat fixtures and fittings such as anything internally, radio's, galleys and anchors or Yagi Aerials and Radar fitted externally - anything that is not specifically a weapon as such. This is the place to post photos, plans and documents to form an historical archive.

Allan, those pictures are the best yet, exactly what I need. Even details like the chains retaining the pins on the antivibration mounts are there - I'd never seen them before, nor had I seen the two drawers to the left of the desk. Superb pictures!
With these and all the information from other forum members I can proceed with considerably more confidence. All I have to do now is source an A1134 Intercom amplifier, crystal checker, etc, etc etc.

I'm so pleased that I came on this forum as the members are so friendly and helpful.

I'm not finished yet, so if any more info comes to light it will be gratefully received.

Many thanks - Michael.

The Sunderland Wireless Operator's position at Internal Fire Museum of Power is coming along well and generating a lot of interest.
I promised to post some pictures, so here they are. There are still a few items missing, notably the type J antenna switch, but I expect one will turn up before too long.
I hope there are not too many pics, but I thought you would be interested.
Many sincere thanks to all who helped with my requests for infromation and pictures - thank you very much!

All Best Wishes - Michael.

How might one go about viewing the pictures? Just wee black boxes with white X's.

Beauty! Yes, your corrections have worked and the pictures are now visible. They look great, too.

Michael, do you have a paid subscription to PB? If not, these images may disappear at any moment. I'm in the process of re-posting everything I've posted here since the beginning of the forum. I'm doing this for the second time, as I was using another hosting site ( Photoreflex ) that when arse-up after about a year. I'm using Flickr now.

No, Chris, I don't. I noticed that some images posted by another member in February disappeared. I shall investigate. - Michael

You'll get the message soon enough from Peebucket, pay us $400.00 US a year to post on 3rd party sites or we block all your images.
They have completely wiped out my Widgeon images here, over 700 of them.
That's why I was asking, I'm searching for a new hosting service.
