In looking through my files I ran across a long article I printed off on the history of the Liberty. I searched on it to see if the site was still there and alas it was not that I could find but I noticed the author did finally make it into a book some of you may be interested in called A Technical and Operational History of the Liberty Engine by Robert J. Neal. It seems to vary in price from about 75-135$ depending on where you can find it.

I can scan the whole article I have if anyone is interested but eh photo quality will suffer.

There is news that a team of Americans are re-building a Douglas DWC to make another round the world flight.

It will be powered by an up-dated Liberty V-12.
