Apart from a handful of BOAC flights in 1940 it was Pan American which made the most use of the new Marine terminal including after December 1941, contract operations for the U S Navy in both their Boeing 314s and bailed Consolidated Coronados. American Export Airlines operated New York-Botwood-Foynes with a fleet of Sikorsky VS-44s
