Grumman J2F-4 Duck with quite an interesting scheme IMO

This Duck was on Ulithi and all black by the looks of it. Not sure the history here.

Is that round "notch" in the lower hull skin behind the step a camera port similar to the ones found on the JRF-5 Goose series? (Hi Mark!) It looks like it may have some kind of sheet plastic cover over it....

I suspect it's a replacement hatch vs plastic.
