Ok, am I the only one seeing a black rectangle? Once you click on it you can see the photo.

Anything else this digital world-challenged flyingboat nut needs to know?

I believe that there was a civil version of this banana shaped beauty.

Sorry Tasse, there was no civilian counterpart, only 15 Aichi Type 96 boats were built between 1934 and 1937 and they all went to the Imperial Japanese Navy.
They were retired just prior to the outbreak of the Pacific War.

A most apropos color for night gunnery spotting and observation wouldn't you say ?
