Today (in the USA) is the 75th Anniversary of the first flight of the Boeing Model 314.
The event was celebrated in a series of 32 photos by a Seattle newspaper.

Had to add this one.

Haven't seen too many color pictures of the B-314, and if you look towards the upper right area of this picture you'll see the Seattle ferry Kalakala.

I had a smaller version of that one, cool indeed.
I hope someone steps up to save the Silver Slug (aka the Kalakala - kuh-LACK-uh-luh) before it's too late, & that's going to be real soon.
(For anyone interested in old ferry boats this one is a classic, do a search for more information on it's very long and interesting history.)
