Looking for ANY info on the SIKORSKY S-41 or RS-1

Hi All,

I'm seeking any, and I mean, ANY, information 'out there ' on the SIKORSKY S-41 or it's military derivative, the RS-1.

Believe me, this one isn't easy; there is virtually nothing on this craft which is surprising considering the lineage. I would LOVE to find a decent scale plan....

There are a few, around seven, images I have and that's it.

So, over to you experts....got anything?

Cheers and thanks for reading this,

I guess where there were only 3 tested by the US Navy, there's not much useful intel out there.

Bryan,

One of my many seaplane contacts goes by the username "Marauderman26" on the WIX forum. He works for the Smithsonian in the aircraft restoration unit and the Pearl Harbor surviving Sikorsky JRS-1 is one of his "babies" - I can't think of anyone else who knows more about them. I'll PM his contact info to you....

And I believe that he is in this photo...

Ooops. My bad. You said RS-1 / S-41 and I'm thinking of the JRS-1 aka S-43....
