Supermarine Seagull V - 1933

Numerous books and magazines tell the story that at the SBAC Open Day at Hendon in July 1933 'Mutt' Summers looped the prototype Seagull V just days after its first flight. I've been trying to find a report of this in the press of the time, or at least pre WWII, but so far without success. Flight mentions nothing other than that it was very manoeuvrable. Has anyone seen anything that could confirm the story?
