The Pan Am flying boat base at Manila

Postby CanadaKen » Fri Mar 22, 2013 6:44 am

Hi

Does anyone have a map or photos showing Pan Am flying boat base at Manila.
Was it near the main airport or was it across the bay at that old air base?

Thanks
Ken

Looks like I found my answer.

Note this pre-WW2 Pan Am flight schedule says Manila (Cavite).
Cavite City is right at the end of the peninsula where Sangley Air Base
is situated.

Saw a 1945 picture where either a flying boat on beaching gear or an
amphib sits on a concrete sloped apron.
